In order to fully implement the central and provincial and municipal requirements of civil affairs work, promote the traditional virtue of Chinese people respecting and filial piety to the elderly, Renze District Civil Affairs Bureau of the elderly meal service as a practical project of people's livelihood to grasp the details of the project, and take multiple measures to ensure the long-term operation of the "happy table", to enhance the level of social elderly services.

On May 8, the District Civil Affairs Bureau actively organized public service volunteers to Xindian Shuangpontou Village, and the village's enthusiastic villagers together to carry out the elderly meal service activities. Every month on the 19th day of the lunar calendar, Shuangpontou Village will open a filial old people's canteen to provide delicious and affordable meals for the elderly people over 65 years old in the village, so that they can solve the dining problem at their doorstep. During the activity, volunteers from the District Public Welfare Association and Xindian Town worked together in solidarity, some helping the cook to make a big pot of food, some washing the hair of the elderly, haircutting, the lively scene made the faces of the elderly in the village blossom with happy smiles.

Next, the District Civil Affairs Bureau will actively raise funds to increase the construction of rural mutual happiness homes, mobilize more social forces into the work of social elderly services, and carry out regular elderly meal services in the district, so that more elderly people "food" have something to fall back on.
